Role Summary

As the Warehouse Manager at MACHETE, your primary responsibility will be overseeing e-commerce shipping operations to ensure accurate and efficient order processing. Your leadership and organizational skills are pivotal in managing a team, optimizing workflows, and upholding high standards of quality. Proficiency in Shopify is essential for successful customer order fulfillment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage a team of warehouse employees, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

1. Develop and Train Employees on warehouse procedures, systems, and safety protocols.

1. Optimize Inventory Management by managing inventory control within the distribution center and maintain accurate accountability of physical inventory and reporting.

1. Utilize your expert knowledge of Shopify to manage order processing, inventory updates, and tracking in real-time.

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the e-commerce and customer service departments, to align on order priorities and ensure a seamless customer experience.

1. Foster effective communication and collaboration.

1. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the warehouse operations.

1. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to enhance efficiency and safety.

1. Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operating procedures

1. Direct Lead and guide associates in 5S practices

1. Streamline Workflow and Processes

1. Enhance Customer Satisfaction

1. Follow, train, and lead by example of MACHETE safety policies and procedures

1. Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics on a weekly basis

1. Ability to lift up to 45lbs by yourself and anything heavier with a 2-person lift

1. Supporting with line order fulfillment during peak seasons and as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Career experience may be substituted for a degree.

1. 2 years of Warehouse management experience.

1. Working knowledge of Quality Management/Control concepts/processes is a plus

1. Proven experience in managing at least three warehouse associates.

1. Proficient with Microsoft Office (or the equivalent) and inventory management software

1. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, leadership, and conflict resolution

1. In-depth knowledge of modern practices and methods

1. Critical thinking ability and proactive approach to problem-solving

1. Experience with inventory control, inventory reconciliation and cycle counting

1. Familiarly with inbound and outbound operations of fulfillment center

1. Proven warehouse experience

1. Strong team player with exceptional organizational skills
