We are on the lookout for a Sr. Director of Technology to join our team in Laguna Beach, California. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging technology to enhance customer experiences, making data-driven decisions, and leading a technology team. You will also work closely with other departments to align technological advancements with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Deepen your understanding of technology stacks, platforms, and emerging technologies relevant to e-commerce and gifting solutions.

• Utilize your experience with e-commerce, including payment gateways, customer experience optimization, and security protocols.

• Manage ERP platforms, with a preference for Business Central experience.

• Build Shopify apps and enhance your knowledge of UXUI.

• Use technology to develop new products, automate processes, and digitally transform our operations.

• Make technology decisions based on data analytics, consumer behavior, purchasing trends, and operational efficiencies.

• Ensure the protection of sensitive customer information through your knowledge of data protection, privacy laws, and security measures.

• Select and manage technology vendors, ensuring seamless integration and cost-effective solutions.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product, and customer service, to align technological advancements with business goals.

• Build, mentor, and lead a technology team.

• Enhance the customer journey through technology, ensuring seamless user experiences across digital platforms, from browsing to gifting.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a technology leadership role

• Proven expertise in eCommerce and payment gateways

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity compliance and data protection

• Familiarity with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and privacy law

• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation and use

• Proficiency in using CRM - Customer Relationship Management tools

• Understanding of logistics processes and related technologies

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), including ERP solutions

• Proficiency in Dynamics 365 Business Central

• Experience with Shopify platform management and development

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to make strategic technology decisions

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

• Proven ability to manage a technology team and oversee large-scale projects

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about technology solutions.
