The Senior Back End Developer will lead and execute DTC and B2B e-commerce projects for multiple clients within our agency. In this role, they’ll manage the full development lifecycle, including customizing Shopify functionality, handling data migrations, integrating APIs, and automating workflows. Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design, develop, and implement DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) and B2B applications within the Shopify storefront.
  1. Serve as the technical lead on projects, translating business requirements into comprehensive front-end and back-end development tasks.
  1. Customize and extend Shopify functionality to meet specific client requirements, ensuring seamless integration with the platform.
  1. Work closely with external client teams and third-party vendors to migrate data from legacy systems into Shopify.
  1. Integrate third-party APIs and applications to enhance the e-commerce platform’s functionality and expand its capabilities.
  1. Create automated workflows to streamline orders, inventory management, and shipping updates.
  1. Respond promptly to client issues, providing technical guidance and support to team members for efficient resolution.
  1. Conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality and promptly address any identified issues.
  1. Develop, test, and deploy backend solutions that improve and automate Shopify Admin tasks and processes.
  1. Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
  1. Maintain and enhance code quality, organization, and automation throughout the development lifecycle.

    2. Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience writing production-level code with a minimum of 2 years focus on Shopify Plus
  1. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks including React and Vue.js
  1. Extensive experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, or similar frameworks
  1. Expertise in Shopify development, including custom theme development, app integrations, and API utilization
  1. Strong knowledge of SQL/relational databases.
  1. Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git
  1. Familiarity with cloud platforms & deployment processes
