Shopify eCommerce Manager
to join our team. This is a hybrid role located in Dedham, MA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the AliMed Shopify store, ensuring smooth functionality, and acting as the internal point of contact for Shopify-related issues and improvements.
- Act as a Shopify Organization Administrator and manage all aspects of the AliMed Shopify store, including product listings, customer facing taxonomy, promotions, and UX enhancements.
- Work closely with the third-party service provider and/or Shopify to troubleshoot issues and implement site improvements.
- Ensure product data accuracy and build/optimize product pages and landing pages for search, conversion, and syndication.
- Adhere to Security and compliance requirements to meet AliMed security policies.
- Monitor Shopify site speed, checkout experience, overall usability and performance.
- Monitor Shopify integrations with ERP, PIM, DAM, Third Party Shopify Apps (Nosto, Klaviyo, Klevu) and work with internal and external resources to troubleshoot any issues.
- Ensure the Customer Experience (CE) Chat module is properly integrated into the Shopify website, work with Customer Care on any issues with Chat Performance and escalate as needed.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide basic Shopify training and support for internal teams as needed.
- Own Department SOPs documentation and library maintenance.
- Stay up to date with e-commerce trends and best practices to ensure maximum sales potential.
- Lead the Shopify release schedule and testing phases while adhering to AliMed's change management policies.
- Manage Shopify application, setup, and maintenance to meet uptime requirements and exceed customer expectations.
- Track key ecommerce KPIs (conversion rates, bounce rates, cart abandonment) and work with internal teams to improve performance.
- Collaborate with AliMed's ERP system, marketing and business teams to optimize landing pages, promotions and integrations
Competencies and Skills
- 3-5 years' experience in Shopify ecommerce operations, preferably with Shopify Plus.
- Familiar with PIM and DAM technology (Salsify and Acquia a plus).
- Hands-on experience managing Shopify stores (product management, collections, navigation, settings, checkout, etc.).
- Understanding of Shopify Liquid templating, themes, HTML, CSS, apps, integrations and Shopify extensions.
- Knowledge of ecommerce best practices, including UX, Search, personalization, and SEO/SEM for ecommerce.
- Ability to coordinate with external Application Services/developers and troubleshoot platform issues.
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics) to track performance.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Shopify Certification preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and timelines.
- Experience with Release Management, Business Process Improvement, and Organizational readiness.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, Teams & SharePoint.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas both orally and in writing.
