POSITION PURPOSE:

The Shopify Plus Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Thibaut’s Shopify Plus store using Hydrogen (React framework) and managing key integrations within our AWS Lambda serverless environment. This role requires a strong understanding of eCommerce architecture, API integrations, and UX/UI best practices while ensuring seamless collaboration between IT, Marketing, and external vendors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Shopify Plus Development & Customization

  1. Develop, maintain, and enhance custom Shopify Hydrogen storefronts.
  1. Optimize site performance, including page speed, user experience, and conversion rates.
  1. Implement new Shopify features while reducing customizations where possible to leverage native Shopify capabilities.
  1. Work closely with Marketing to develop and optimize landing pages, promotional campaigns, and product merchandising workflows using Builder.io CMS.
  1. Extend and modify Shopify Liquid templates as needed for custom functionality.

Integration & API Development

  1. Manage and optimize data flows between Shopify Plus and Infor Syteline ERP, ensuring accurate syncing of:

    2. + Orders, inventory, pricing, customer data, and product information.

  1. Develop and maintain API connections with BridgePay (payment gateway), Avalara (tax calculations), FedEx (shipping), Dash Hudson (social media integrations), and other third-party services.
  1. Work within AWS Lambda serverless functions to handle webhook-based automations, inventory updates, and transactional workflows.
  1. Maintain and enhance inventory and company import scripts for product and customer data synchronization.

Site Performance, Testing & Security

  1. Monitor and improve SEO, site performance, and accessibility to align with eCommerce best practices.
  1. Implement and test Shopify checkout modifications, pricing logic, and order handling.
  1. Ensure the security and reliability of the platform, troubleshooting errors and performance bottlenecks.
  1. Conduct end-to-end testing for Shopify releases, ensuring seamless integration across all platforms.

Collaboration & Support

  1. Act as technical liaison between IT, Marketing, and external agencies.
  1. Partner with Marketing & eCommerce teams to implement and optimize digital marketing initiatives.
  1. Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for Shopify-related issues.
  1. Maintain documentation and knowledge sharing for the IT and Marketing teams to streamline Shopify operations.
