As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager who can take charge of our accounting operations and help us maintain the high standards that our customers expect.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to be an integral member of the Finance & Accounting team and partner closely with leaders across the organization to achieve the company's strategic priorities and build scalable business processes. Responsibilities are focused on general ledger accounting, financial analysis, business process improvement, financial audits and business partnership. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented and well-rounded performer who thrives by taking ownership and has a track record of collaboration and excellent execution. We are looking for someone with the ability to think strategically, dive into details, and handle tactical issues as they arise to ensure a strong foundation that supports continued growth.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and support the monthly and annual financial close process
  1. Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses, and various ad hoc analyses
  1. Review and post journal entries prepared by Staff Accountants
  1. Maintain meticulous accuracy of the general ledger
  1. Partner with leaders to drive process improvements and system enhancements, ensuring scalability to support Kindred Bravely's growth. Participate in the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies, operational strategies, and system upgrades
  1. Continued focus on improving system efficiency and business practices
  1. Participate in financial projects including upgrades to Netsuite (Netsuite experience required)
  1. Design, implement and ensure compliance with internal control practices and policies
  1. Collaborate with, and prepare schedules for external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
  1. Build strong relationships at all levels with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient, and accurate month end close
  1. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  1. Assist in preparing summary feedback of financial statement variances
  1. General accounting areas include but are not limited to fixed assets, lease accounting, revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, prepaids, & treasury.
  1. Oversee a team of 3 offshore accountants, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  1. Manage sales tax compliance, in partnership with our software Avalara (Avatax)
  1. Experience with omni-channel business and required accounting software complexities and integrations (ex: NetSuite, Shopify, Seller Central, AP Automation, Avalara, etc)
  1. Foster a culture of transparency and collaboration, ensuring open communication and clear financial processes that align with Kindred Bravely's core values.

Qualifications

  1. Experience with NetSuite is required
  1. CPA required
  1. 7-9 years of relevant experience
  1. 2-3 years of experience in a managerial capacity
  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business field
  1. In-depth knowledge of US GAAP
  1. Ability to execute deadline-driven processes in a dynamic environment
