Retail Sales Associate
at the KETTLER Retail Store in Virginia Beach under the supervision of the Store Manager. Sales Associate’s primary responsibility is providing excellent customer service, increasing sales and maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers. Job requires strong communication skills, proactive attitude, being personable and able to discuss world events. Sales Associates will be on their feet for long periods of time walking the showroom floor. Most importantly, must be focused on building relationships with people.
Responsibilities
:
· Responsible for a friendly and professional environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer.
· Provide product information and recommendations based on customer needs. Be able to upsell.
· Accurately and efficiently complete the sales transaction with the customer in the Shopify POS.
· Respond to customer inquiries promptly including returning voice messages.
· Develop and maintain knowledge of products and industry.
· Must have attention to detail and be thorough and timely in completing work tasks.
· Understand competition by shopping locally and online.
· Assist in tracking and managing inventory to keep the optimal assortment.
· Effectively communicate customer service issues and requests to management.
· Help maintain the showroom in a clean, organized and attractive presentation.
· Perform basic tasks in MS Outlook such as emails and contact tracking.
· On occasion, be willing to visit customer’s house or business.
· Weekly emails and/or phone calls to prospective residential customers.
· Anything necessary to sell and serve the customer or potential customer.
· Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive working environment.
Store Hours and Schedule:
Person must be friendly, outgoing, and willing to work weekends and holidays.
Monday - Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sunday 12:00 -5:00
Qualifications:
· Have at least a High School Diploma. Strongly prefer someone who stays aware of world events.
· Sales or marketing training is a plus.
· A minimum of three (3) years of retail sales experience. Previous high-ticket commission experience is a plus.
· Must have basic computer knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel or Google Docs).
· Ability to calculate figures (discounts, commission, percentages, gross margin, etc.) and understand documents such as wholesale price lists, packing lists, delivery orders, etc.
· Ability to quickly respond verbally and in writing to common inquiries or complaints from customers or vendors.
· Able and willing to lift merchandise of 40 lbs. to move furniture.
Benefits & Pay:
Compensation includes hourly basis but is mostly uncapped commissions.
This is a Part time position that, depending on the success of the candidate, can lead to a full-time position.
Part-time includes eligibility for 7% 401K match after one year and 1,000 hours, half-day paid holidays, and 3 sick days. If achieved, full-time position benefits would include health, dental, vision, paid sick (or bonus), paid vacation, ten paid holidays and larger profit-sharing bonuses.
