The sewing machine industry is a global sector experiencing growth. In developed markets, growth rates are expected to exceed GDP growth, according to Global Industry Analysts, Inc., a leading industry data source. This growth is driven by the millennial generation's interest in personalization, crafts, and self-expression. In developing markets, the industry is projected to grow at an annual rate of 4%, supported by the emerging middle class and the segment that uses sewing machines for household needs.
ABOUT THE POSITION
PM of Global Commerce Operations will provide both strategic management and oversight of eCommerce operations as well as day-to-day project management support for a global portfolio of growth initiatives.
Commerce Operations
- Responsible for the optimization and maintenance of Global eCommerce platforms, ensuring ongoing peak functionality
- Assist Sr. Director in identifying opportunities to optimize P&L through continuous improvement
- Manage monthly sales and forecasting operations in collaboration with Global eCommerce leaders
- Identify, manage and track eCommerce platform opportunities and updates in collaboration with Development team
- Establish working processes across teams that enable full usage and optimization of a suite of eCommerce connected SaaS platforms, including PIM, DAM, fraud protection, shipping and returns
- Partner cross-functionally with Order Management and Customer Care to manage, at high level, end-to-end fulfillment of orders
Project Management and Solutioning
- Responsible for moving forward a global portfolio of projects and initiatives
- Organize planning of new initiatives and projects, assuring documentation of key milestones and cross functional dependencies and prerequisites
- Identify key stakeholders and participants for each project and initiative and document related communication processes
- Partner closely with business systems analysis to ensure proper identification & tracking of key requirements, workstreams & testing processes
- Partner closely with 3rd party providers to ensure timely execution against assigned tasks
- Coordinate across internal teams to establish and drive a cross-functional working group
- Track progression through 9 delivery gates of Request, Proceed or Cancel, Assign to Backlog/Effort/Project/Release/Sprint, Add to Global Project List, Design / Develop, Unit Test / Regression Test, User Acceptance Test, Promote to Production, Quality Check / Close
Education/Experience
- A bachelor's degree is required
- 5+ years of relevant eCommerce operations and project management experience required
- Experience leading operations and developer resources
- Experience with Project Tools such as; Jira, Asana, Trello required
- Implementation and management of commerce products, digital tools such as Shopify and other commerce tools is required
- Prior experience working in a matrixed & highly collaborative team is required
- Prior experience with various delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid, etc) is required
- Relevant certifications (PMP, etc) are desirable

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in a typical office environment, consistent work in office will be required with a hybrid remote schedule, in office Tuesday through Thursday each week. A fully remote option is not available.
