About the Role

A premier high-end jewelry retailer in Nantucket, MA, is seeking an experienced and energetic Luxury Jewelry Sales Specialist to join their dynamic, team-oriented environment. This individual will oversee sales operations, deliver exceptional service to an exclusive clientele, and embody the brand's vibrant and authentic personality.

This role requires full commitment during the peak season in Nantucket from May through October, with occasional travel to Boston for events at other local stores throughout the year and continued responsibilities based in Boston during the off-season.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned luxury jewelry professional with a passion for sales, a collaborative mindset, and extensive knowledge of high-end jewelry, designer and fashion brands, diamonds, and gemstones. Candidates must have experience working with luxury multi-brand jewelry retailers, high-end boutiques, or department stores with luxury jewelry departments, catering to affluent clientele with a curated mix of fine jewelry, accessories, and fashion. A deep understanding of fine jewelry, including diamonds, colored gemstones, and precious metals, is essential, along with the ability to educate and inspire clients about the quality and craftsmanship of each piece.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Client Engagement and Relationship Building

  1. Develop meaningful, long-term relationships with clients by delivering personalized and memorable shopping experiences.
  1. Proactively attract new clients through strategic outreach, referrals, and participation in community events.
  1. Represent the brand with enthusiasm and professionalism, inspiring client trust and loyalty.
  1. Build and maintain a comprehensive client database to enhance communication and tailor future interactions.

Sales Leadership and Excellence

  1. Consistently meet and exceed sales goals by showcasing the brand's exquisite jewelry collections with passion and expertise.
  1. Highlight the craftsmanship, design, and value of each piece to educate and inspire clients.
  1. Partner with the CEO and Operations team to develop and implement innovative sales strategies.
  1. Foster a loyal client base, generating significant repeat business through exceptional service.

Exceptional Client Service

  1. Create elevated in-store experiences by anticipating client needs and exceeding expectations.
  1. Keep clients informed about exclusive collections, events, and promotions.
  1. Proactively address and act on client feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence and Team Collaboration

  1. Maintain the showroom's luxurious appearance, ensuring the space reflects the brand's high standards.
  1. Oversee the secure handling and display of fine jewelry, ensuring the utmost care and precision.
  1. Perform operational tasks, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and payment processing using Shopify or similar systems.
  1. Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a supportive, high-energy environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Luxury Retail Experience

  2. At least three years of experience with luxury multi-brand jewelry retailers, high-end boutiques, or department stores catering to affluent clientele.

  1. Expert Knowledge

  2. Deep understanding of fine jewelry, including diamonds, colored gemstones, and precious metals, with the ability to educate clients on craftsmanship and quality.

  2. Commitment to the peak season in Nantucket (May–October) and flexibility to travel for events and responsibilities during the off-season.

  2. Familiarity with Shopify or other retail systems is preferred.

  1. Preferred Qualifications

  2. Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) and/or Graduate Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or similar certifications.

  2. Expertise in social media, marketing, or event planning is a bonus but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT

  2. Onsite in Nantucket, MA, during the seasonal peak season, with flexibility to travel to Boston for special store events throughout the year.

    + During the off-season, you may reside anywhere in the United States, with occasional travel to Boston as needed.

  1. Work Schedule for Nantucket Season

  2. + Scheduled workdays are Monday through Saturday.

    + Shifts are 8 hours per day, totaling 40 hours per week.

    + Work hours fall within the core timeframe of 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
