We are a growing online furniture brand, started and managed by a husband-and-wife team. Denver Modern was created to showcase a Denver-inspired design aesthetic that is uniquely ours: modern, simple, timeless, comfortable. We sell direct to consumers online, nationally, and also work with hospitality & workplace customers. We showcase our products at our showroom in the Clayton neighborhood, and we also have an office and warehouse in East Central Park. We are looking to add a team member to our entrepreneurial, collaborative, positive, and fun team.

Position Summary

Denver Modern seeks a motivated Inventory Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis in our Denver, CO headquarters. For this newly created role, we are looking for someone to execute daily inventory operations, controls and analysis for our largest asset.  The ideal candidate is someone who is system-savvy, detail-oriented, curious and works effectively with cross-functional teams.  This tactical role supports the Supply Chain team ensuring inventory accuracy, manages purchase orders and maintains product information. Key Responsibilities of the Role

Inventoried SKUs

·         Owner of SKU Data accuracy:  set up new SKUs with all relevant attributes, weight, dimension, costs, etc.; manage SKU changes as needed throughout product lifecycle. Ensure accuracy and consistency across platforms, including PIM, Inventory Management System, Shopify, 3PLs, etc.

·         Assists in the setup for components with Sr. Supply Planner based on business requirements. Executes component setup when building child/parent SKUs, working with Sr Supply Planner.

·         Set up processes and data for efficient operations, selling, accounting and reporting.  Monitors showroom inventory levels.

·         Work cross-functionally to minimize the use of 'custom products' in Shopify through appropriate item creation.

Cycle Counts and Inventory Accuracy

·         Supervise regular cycle counts of finished goods and component inventory on hand and manage system updates.  Create exception reporting and processes to verify and resolve discrepancies in counts.  Responsible for overall accuracy of inventory on hand data across warehouses.

·         Works with customer service to update warehouse for orders in Skubana and Shopify so all is accurate - i.e.., makes sure orders are in the correct warehouse in each system

·         Reconciles Skubana inventory counts to Shopify to Bolt systems - flags any potential 'loss' from Bolt when counts are off and investigates variances for root cause.

Lead times

·         Track product lead times for out of stock/low stock items and ensure accurate times are shown on website for transparency to customers, customer service and sales teams.

·         Perform regular open order support. Work across platforms to ensure allocation to warehouses is accurate and orders are shipping on a timely basis. Includes oversight of backorders, custom orders, orders on hold.

·         Manages Inventory Lead Time file (Datarails) and makes updates to DataRails to include new product as needed.

Third Party Product

·         Places/monitors third party vendor orders

·         Manages third party SKU setup and product arrival, when stocked in showroom or shipped to Denver warehouse

Returns

·         Manage and track returned items within relevant systems with warehouse team and customer service

Communication

·         Provide inventory reports to Sr Supply Planner. Meet monthly to review accuracy, levels, and potential impacts from product releases, merchandising updates.

·         Monitors and communicates low stock conditions to management.

Keys to Success

·            2+ years of experience in inventory control, data management, and/or inventory cost accounting in a DTC, retail and/or manufacturing-light environment

·            Technically savvy, able to navigate across multiple platforms and manage data efficiently

·            Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to support data management and reporting needs

·            Detail and process-oriented

·            Understands the big picture and day-to-day detailed execution

·            Curious, analytical and problem-solver

·            Collaborative, flexible and strong communication skills; able to thrive in a nimble, entrepreneurial environment

·            Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Operations, or similar fiel
