This is a fast-paced, results-driven environment where we combine e-commerce expertise with targeted inside sales to deliver high-quality training solutions.
Total Compensation: $80-100K
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Inside Sales Manager to build and lead this new department, focusing on growth, revenue, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop the Department:
- Design and execute the strategy for establishing a new inside sales department dedicated to IT short courses.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing sales team from scratch.
- Create and implement processes, workflows, and KPIs tailored to the needs of this unique business segment.
Sales Leadership:
- Drive team performance to meet and exceed sales targets, focusing on enrollments and revenue generation.
- Monitor individual and team KPIs, providing regular coaching and performance feedback.
- Develop a sales culture centered on professionalism, efficiency, and results.
E-Commerce & Online Sales
- Drive sales growth through an e-commerce platform, focusing on optimizing the online shopping experience.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and refine high-performing product pages, promotional campaigns, and user-friendly navigation.
- Analyze customer behavior and sales data to improve the online customer journey, increase conversions, and maximize ROI on e-commerce initiatives.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Build reporting tools to track team performance, sales trends, and customer insights.
- Use data to identify opportunities for process improvement and strategic pivots.
- Provide detailed performance updates to senior leadership.
Customer-Centric Approach:
- Develop a consultative sales process to match customer needs with course offerings.
- Ensure the team delivers high levels of service and professionalism at all times.
- Handle escalations or complex customer inquiries with a solution-oriented mindset.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner with marketing, product development, and other teams to align sales initiatives with business objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert on online IT training sales and contribute to the overall strategy for this new business unit.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in inside sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in e-commerce and online sales, ideally in education, training, or a similar industry.
- Track record of building and scaling sales teams or new departments.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with IT training or certification programs (e.g., CompTIA, Linux, Cisco).
- Experience in subscription-based or SaaS sales.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and social media advertising.
