Responsibilities
- Act as a proud ambassador for the client’s brand
- Staff guest-accessible areas of the venue, including but not limited to entry/ticketing, retail, elevators, and exhibition elements
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the experience, exhibition elements, and merchandise
- Welcome guests, provide wayfinding, and answer questions about the experience
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
- Ensure that all guests are interacting with the exhibition elements in a safe manner
- Operate ticketing systems, which include the sale/processing of various ticket levels, check-in, wrist bands, and access control
- Staff special events taking place at the venue, which may occur before or after normal operating hours
- Report/escalate any safety or quality issues to management
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ongoing open availability on weekends and holidays, plus at least 3 weekdays
- No extended time off needs in next 3-6 months
- Reliable, reasonable commute to midtown Manhattan
- A minimum of a High School Diploma is strongly preferred
- Prior experience in a customer/guest facing role in a museum, attraction, restaurant or retail setting
- Experience with cash/credit transaction processing using Shopify, Ticketure or similar platform is a significant plus
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Approachable, friendly demeanor with an ease for demonstrating enthusiasm
- Works well on teams
- This position requires prolonged periods of standing, as well as frequent bending, kneeling and reaching.
