Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented part-time Fulfillment Associate to join our team. The Fulfillment Associate will ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, picking and packing products, and preparing shipments for delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities of a fulfillment associate
Order Picking
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders.
Packing
- Carefully package items according to company standards, including adding protective materials, labeling boxes, and ensuring proper sealing.
Shipping
- Generate shipping labels, prepare orders for shipment, and coordinate with shipping carriers for timely delivery.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by performing cycle counts, reporting discrepancies, and restocking shelves.
Quality Control
- Inspect products for damage or defects before packing and report any issues.
Labeling and Documentation
- Accurately label packages with customer addresses and shipping information.
Data Entry
- Input order details into Shipstation/Shopify/Lightspeed to track inventory and shipment status.
Compliance with Safety Procedures
- Adhere to warehouse safety protocols & OSHA standards, including proper lifting techniques and wearing safety gear.
Required skills for a fulfillment associate
Physical Ability
Ability to lift heavy packages, stand for extended periods, and walk long distances within the warehouse.
Attention to Detail
High level of accuracy in picking and packing orders to avoid errors.
Basic Computer Skills
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and scanning devices.
Teamwork
Ability to collaborate with other staff to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills required.
Organization
Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure timely order fulfillment.
