**About the role**
The Ecommerce Website Specialist is responsible for building, maintaining, optimizing, and launching ecommerce websites to ensure a seamless shopping experience. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role focuses on building and managing product pages, updating stock information, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting website performance and user experience. The Ecommerce Website Specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to keep content accurate and contribute to new ecommerce feature development as needed.
**Full time, non-exempt employee, Monday through Friday, 40 hour workweeks**
**$24-$28 per hour**
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Website Management**
: Lead the creation and launch of new websites and product pages with input from the Marketing Manager. Oversee daily operations across multiple ecommerce websites, including design updates and user experience (UX) enhancements.
- **Website Maintenance**
: Monitor and resolve website performance issues promptly to maintain a high-quality user experience. Conduct regular site audits to identify broken links, errors, and outdated content. Coordinate with Procurement to keep customers updated on stock availability.
- **Product Page Management**
: Build and maintain product pages optimized for SEO and customer engagement, with accurate descriptions, specifications, images, and key details.
- **Product Merchandising**
: Develop merchandising strategies that improve product discoverability, categorization, and search functionality to enhance the customer journey.
- **Analytics and Reporting**
: Generate and analyze reports on website performance, providing insights to improve online sales and merchandising effectiveness.
- **SEO and Technical Best Practices**
: Apply basic SEO techniques to optimize product pages for search engines and improve site visibility.
**Qualifications**
**Experience**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Web Design/Development, Digital Marketing, or a related field
- At least two years of Experience in ecommerce website maintenance or related technical support role
- Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms (BigCommerce, Shopify) and basic web development (HTML, CSS)
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles and site optimization techniques
- Proficiency in Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting, with a focus on ecommerce metrics
