Hairstory is seeking an
E-Commerce Intern
to support our digital business growth. This individual will support digital and digital marketing initiatives across the United States, EU, UK, Australia and Canada by assisting in aligning messaging across five websites. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hair and interested in turning insights into action.
This is a hybrid role that works 20-25 hours a week and 2-3 days out of our NY office (95 5th Ave, 4th Floor, New York, NY). There is an opportunity for this role to convert to a full-time role at Hairstory in 2025.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Digital Content Management: create, upload and maintain product listings across our 5 Shopify ecommerce platforms across US, Canada, EU, UK, and Australia. Ensure accurate product descriptions, images, and pricing information.
- Active Website Management including site content, product information, blog posts, editorial images, and any ongoing sales. Report any issues to the engineering team.
- Integrated Content Planning: unify messaging across five International websites while catering to the cultural and geographical differences in each locale
- Email Marketing Campaigns: Assist CRM Specialist from end-to-end, including concept development and content planning, audience segmentation and targeting, set-up, deployment, reporting and ongoing testing and optimization
- Assist with personalization and segmentation by analyzing performance data and identifying opportunities for A/B testing to optimize and drive improvements to KPIs
- Assist team and email agency with directions on building, QA and deploying email, SMS and loyalty campaigns
- Assist with ad hoc initiatives across the digital marketing team as needed
- Data Analysis: Track and analyze sales performance, website traffic, and conversion metrics. Prepare reports and provide insights for improving e-commerce strategies.
ABOUT YOU
- Applicant must be graduating in Spring, Summer or Winter of 2025, as this role has the potential to go full-time

- Extremely organized, diligent, detail-oriented and motivated
- Eagerness and ability to learn quickly and expand into other departments when necessary

- Passion for the digital and the beauty/hair industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience with Shopify is a plus
- Minimum 2-3 days a week, 20-25 hours per week
